✦ About the Saturday Tailoring Course
Our Saturday sewing class in Edinburgh is a six-week tailoring course designed for those who prefer to learn at the weekend, or whose weeknights simply don’t allow for it. Based at our studio in Leith, just by the Shore tram station, sessions run on a flexible schedule that we arrange with you around your availability.
This is a weekend garment making course in Edinburgh with a real focus: constructing a tailored garment to your own measurements, from pattern to finished piece. Unlike drop-in workshops, the six-week structure means you leave with something properly made — and the skills to continue independently.

Do I need prior sewing experience to join the Saturday course?
All skill levels are welcome. If you are a complete beginner, we may recommend starting with our Introduction to Sewing evening class first, but if you are keen to jump straight into garment making, we will guide you through everything you need from the first session.
The schedule doesn’t quite match my availability, can we work around it?
Yes. This is one of the things that makes our weekend sewing classes in Edinburgh different. If certain sessions don’t work, we will find another group or adjust. Please mention any constraints in your enquiry and we’ll work something out.
What do I need to bring to the weekend sewing workshop?
A sewing machine is provided at the studio. You will need to bring fabric — detailed guidance on choosing the right fabric is given at your first session. All other equipment, haberdashery, and refreshments are included.
